Antonietta Ferrigno, 3rd onboard purser on Corsica Sardinia Ferries, shares how Seafy Wi-Fi changes the onboard experience — for passengers and for those who work at sea. A Seafy Top Seller who always puts people at the center.

Seafy is the onboard Wi-Fi service that connects passengers and crews even in the open sea. Every day, across partner fleets, there are extraordinary people who represent Seafy with professionalism and dedication, explaining to passengers the value of a reliable connection.
Hi Antonietta, would you like to tell us who you are, which ship you work on, and how long you’ve been in the industry?
Hi, my name is Antonietta Ferrigno and I work as a 3rd onboard purser. I have been working for Corsica Sardinia Ferries for more than 10 years. I started my entire career with them: first as a hostess welcoming passengers, and later becoming 3rd purser, taking care of overall management, accounting, and everything passengers may need when they come to reception.
What does working at sea mean to you?
For me, working at sea represents something strong and resilient. At the same time, my job is also about exploration and sharing places and moments of life.
In this context, how important is it to have a connection that works?
That’s exactly why having an Internet connection onboard is vital. It allows people who are away from home, from family and friends, to share magical moments — like the photo of a sunset, the moment the ship departs, or a fun video of Christmas or New Year’s celebrations with colleagues.
How does it feel to be among the top Seafy sellers in the fleet?
I feel happy and grateful to be a Top Seller, because every day on board I am at the service of passengers. Whenever they encounter any issue, I always try, in my own way, to solve it. I must also thank the Seafy team, who are always available whenever I write to you.
What would you like people to know about Seafy that they might not know yet?
I believe that passengers, in addition to receiving all the information about how Internet works, should also know that Wi-Fi connectivity is essential and should be used properly.
In particular, they should know how to use it in real moments and follow the instructions carefully. For this reason, I often explain how to use it so that their gigabytes are used in the most efficient way.
Is there a moment during the day when you feel the connection with passengers the most?
Working at reception, I am constantly in contact with passengers.
In particular, during boarding and after the ship departs, many passengers come to the office both to purchase Wi-Fi and for many other needs. During the Wi-Fi purchase, I dedicate my time to them by providing all the necessary information, so that the customer leaves satisfied.
In your opinion, what makes working onboard special compared to other jobs?
Working onboard ships makes each of us special people, regardless of the role we have.
Every day we face challenges and continuous emotions, living in an environment that is constantly growing and moving. All of this also allows us to grow professionally and provide better service to passengers, trying to solve the problems that may arise while taking into account the stress and possible inconveniences.
Onboard, teamwork is essential, and those who manage to work well together are truly effective.
For my part, I always try to carry out my work professionally, to help colleagues whenever they ask for support, and to remain available and positive both with crew members and, above all, with passengers.
Thank you, Antonietta, for reminding us that behind every connection there is a person working every day with passion and dedication. The sea may separate us, but with the right people — and the right Wi-Fi — it can also bring us together.
